Daryl Minch delivers a comprehensive family and community health sciences program for adults in Somerset County. Her areas of expertise are food safety, food and nutrition, and human development. She has authored several food safety publications, produced a food safety video and study guide, and designed a statewide food safety exhibit, "Germ Alert - Safe Food Begins With You." She also wrote a retirement curriculum, "Surviving Retirement." An associate professor at Cook College, Rutgers University, Ms. Minch is certified in family and consumer sciences by the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. She is also active in several professional organizations. Ms. Minch has received numerous awards and honors, including the Northeast Region's Distinguished Mid-Career Award, presented by Epsilon Sigma Phi, Educator of the Year Award from the New Jersey Association of 4-H Agents, and Outstanding Woman of Somerset County Award from the Somerset County Commission on Women. She received her Masters in Education from the Graduate School of Education, Rutgers University and her Bachelor of Science in home economics from Douglass College, Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.
